Tammy Sue Smith

Tammy Sue Smith, 64, of Paragould, passed away on January 16, 2024 at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital. She was born in Jonesboro on October 7, 1959 to Al and Donna Smith.

Tammy attended Jonesboro High School and went on to study business at Arkansas State University. She was of the Baptist belief and was a member of Central Baptist Church in Jonesboro. Tammy worked at Smith Consulting, Inc. and previously was a phlebotomy supervisor at St. Bernards Medical Center.

She enjoyed creating things – crafting, making candles, and putting glitter in everyone’s holiday and birthday cards. Tammy believed everyone needed a little glitter in their lives. She had a special place in her heart for animals and especially loved her cats. She also enjoyed listening to music – 80s music being her favorite. But above all else, Tammy loved spending time with her family. Her grandkids were the light of her life and brought her so much joy.

Preceding Tammy in death is her father, Al Smith and her brother, Brandon Smith.

Tammy is survived by her mother, Donna Smith of Jonesboro; daughter, Lauren Clark  and her significant other, Tabitha Mullins, of Jonesboro; partner, Darrell Wilson of Paragould; sister, Tracy Holt and husband Jeff of Paragould; grandchildren, Mace Clark and Maxx Clark; niece, Haven Holloway; and nephew, Tanner Holt.

A funeral service will be held at Emerson Memorial Chapel on Friday, January 19, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. with a visitation from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Larry Bailey will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers include: Tanner Holt, Spence Latham, David Lovelace, Craig Ryan, Tim Latham, and Philip Dunn.
