Patricia "Patsy" Ann George

Patricia "Patsy" Ann George, 70, passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House. Patsy was born on August 31, 1952 in Flint, MI to Raymond and Maxine Erby.

Patsy called Jonesboro home for the last 32 years. She loved working outdoors, planting flowers and working on the yard. Patsy was a devout Baptist and very active in her church, helping with the AWANA and children’s programs. Most recently, Patsy was a member of Windover Baptist Church.

Patsy attended Arkansas State University before marrying the love of her life, Rev. Terry George. They were married 51 beautiful years. Patsy was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved being “Nani” to her family.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Raymond and Maxine Erby and sister, Ruby Jean Allen.

Patsy is survived by her husband, Rev. Terry George of Jonesboro; son, Chris (Jamie) George of Bay; daughters, Kelly (Jonathan) Bryan of Dyersburg, TN, and Melissa (Adam) Bodeker of Bono; brothers, Dr. David (Jala) Erby of Jonesboro, and Michael (Rosie) Erby of Toledo, OH; sister, Charlotte (Michael) Rose of Jonesboro; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and a lifetime of friends and wonderful neighbors.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. at Emerson Memorial Chapel. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Kenny Beaver officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.

Chris George, Nate George, Nik Rubio, Jake Rubio, Adam Bodeker, and Don George will serve as pallbearers.
