Teresa Ladd Ashley

Teresa Ladd Ashley, 57, of Jonesboro, died Tuesday, January 12, 2010, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.

Born in Monette, Teresa lived there before moving to Jonesboro in 1993. She was a Senior Vice President and Human Resources Officer for Liberty Bank of Jonesboro. Teresa was a member of Nettleton Baptist Church and Jonesboro Chamber of Commerce where she was a past board member and Goodwill Ambassador Chairman.

Teresa was a member of the University Rotary Club where she was also a past board member and secretary. She was a member of Jonesboro Junior Auxiliary and numerous banking organizations and schools. She was preceded in death by her father, James Burke Ladd, and her mother, Junie Onita Qualls Ladd.

Survivors include her brother and sister-in-law: Larry and Marsha Ladd of Lake City;

Her step mother, Lavern Ladd of Caraway;

3 nephews and spouse, Dr. Dale Ladd of Batesville, and Ryan Ladd and Justin and Amy Ladd, all of Jonesboro;

3 great nephews, Drew Ladd, Jacob Ladd and Andy Ladd, 1 great niece, Ashlin Ladd, and 1 great, great niece, Bella Austin.

Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10:00 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Dustin Finch officiating. MaLeisa Finch will deliver the eulogy. Burial will follow in Macey Cemetery near Monette with Larry Owens officiating.

Active pallbearers include Dr. Dale Ladd, Ryan Ladd, Justin Ladd, Drew Ladd, John Lee Ashley, Kain Ashley, Brent Coggin, Neal Wimberley and Lee Wimberley.

Visitation will be held Thursday evening, 4:30-7:30, at Emerson Memorial Chapel.
