Zelma L Woods

Zelma Woods, of Jonesboro, passed from this life October 19, 2023 at her home. She was born on May 19, 1951 to the late Jessie L. and Henry T. Speed in Jonesboro, Arkansas and was the second child to this union.

At an early age Zelma lived in Memphis, Tennessee where she attended school. After finishing school, Zelma worked for Tri State Veneer and Plywood. In December 1977, Zelma was married to Bobby Harris of Memphis, Tennessee until his death. Zelma was married to her second husband Bobby Woods until his death in 2014.

In December 2014, Zelma moved back to Jonesboro, Arkansas.

In addition to her parents, Zelma is preceded in death by her sister, Evelyn Harvey and her brother, Joe Harvey.

Zelma is survived by her sisters, Betty Carter and Della Fobbs; brothers, John Prunty Jr., Paul Prunty, James Prunty, Greg Prunty, Milton Prunty, Michael Prunty, and John David Morgan; and a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Zelma’s passion and legacy will be her love for working and caring for senior citizens.

Zelma will have a private burial.
