W.T. Garland

W.T. Garland, 87, of Jonesboro passed away Saturday, September 14, 2013 at his residence.

He was born May 8, 1926 to W.T. and Anna Garland who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Loren Garland, Freddie Garland, and Joe Garland; three sisters, Ruth Smith, Elsie Unice Spence, and Katherine McCallen, and his first wife, Dorothy Day Garland.

He is survived by his wife, Sue of the home; sons, Alan Garland and wife Dana of Jonesboro, Gary Garland and wife Renee of Corning; two grandchildren, Grant Garland of Nashville, TN, and Sara Garland of Jonesboro; and several nieces and nephews. He was a longtime businessman originally from Corning who enjoyed traveling, and playing golf.

Visitation will be at Emerson Funeral Home from 5-7Sunday evening, and Graveside service will be Monday September 16, 2013 @ 1:00 pm in the Corning Cemetery with Rev. Ann Ferris officiating. Honorary pallbearers include members of the Catfish Club.
