Woodrow W. “Woody” Haynes, Jr., 64, of Jonesboro, died Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro.
Born in Memphis, Woody lived in Charleston, Arkansas, before moving to Jonesboro when he was 12. He was a graduate of Jonesboro High School and attended Arkansas State University. He was an A.S.U Physical Plant employee for several years and was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
Woody was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association and was preceded in death by his parents, W.W., Sr. and Ruby Monroe Haynes.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law: Woody, III and Vanessa Haynes of Jonesboro; and 2 grandchildren, Bryce James and Kristin Haynes, both of Jonesboro.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 1:30 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Chad White officiating. Pallbearers include Clint Halcom, Rodney Lee, Zac Minton, Bobby Joe Taylor, Jesse Washington and Lanny Tinker.
A graveside committal service will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:00 in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Charleston with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be held Thursday evening, 5-7, at Emerson Funeral Home.
