Woodrow Davis Crick

March 18, 1913 — July 4, 2010

Mr. Woodrow Davis Crick, of 905 Sycamore Cove, Jonesboro, died Sunday, July 4, 2010, at the Jonesboro Health Care Center, Jonesboro, AR at the age of 97. He was the son of Newton Dallas Crick and Georgia Hill Crick.

Woodrow was born at Duck Hill, (Montgomery County) Mississippi on March 18, 1913. He was parts manager and later owner of Stuckey Brothers Tractor and Auto Parts in Lepanto, AR where he lived and worked over 40 years. He loved car mechanics, gardening, roofing and cutting down old trees for firewood. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to those who needed it in the area where he lived.

He was a member of the Church of Christ in Lepanto, Viva Drive in Trumann, and Southwest Church of Christ in Jonesboro.

Woodrow was preceded in death by his wife Prussia Dean Brawley Crick, his son Woodrow Alson Crick, and 5 sisters: Ora Belle Fahr, Velma Fletcher, Fontella Jenkins, Vontese Wilkerson and Zona Ruth Boland.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law: Elsiedean and James Stewart of Jonesboro;

1 sister, Pearl Crick Parker of Memphis;

6 grandchildren: Jolie Crick Skelton of Charleston, SC, Jonathan Davis Crick of Bradenton, FL, Jeffery Crick of Webster City, IA, Jennifer Crick Curtis of Macon, GA, Frances Stewart McLeod and Mary Ann Stewart, both of Jonesboro; and

6 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Friday evening, July 9, 2010, at 7:00 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Minister David Stewart of Searcy officiating. Burial will be in Baker Cemetery at Hardy, AR.

Visitation will be Friday evening, 5-7, prior to the memorial service in Emerson Chapel.
