Winston Arnell Russell

Winston Arnell Russell, age 78, of Jonesboro, passed from this life on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at his home. He was born on August 11, 1946, in Poughkeepsie, Arkansas, to the late Zealand and Cytha Russell.

Arnell was a member of the Washington Avenue church of Christ, where he enjoyed worshipping God with his church family. He proudly served the state of Arkansas, from which he retired after many years of diligent work. In his retirement, he found joy in simple pleasures, including buying and collecting things whether he needed them or not.  If an item had a reduced price on it, he had to have it. Arnell also cherished his morning coffee gatherings at "The Bumper to Bumper" Auto Parts Store, where he met new friends and shared his newspaper.

Though Arnell had a small family, he touched many lives, and he will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 6, 2024 at Pine Log Cemetery with Aaron J. Dodson officiating. The pallbearers will be Brad Partee, Stacy Miser, Bill Montgomery, Ricky Lloyd, Kevin Wright, and Rick Freeman.

Arnell will be laid to rest at Evening Shade Cemetery in Evening Shade, Arkansas. A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 9, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.
