Winford Bass, 76, of Paragould passed from this life on Tuesday, March 27, 2018. He was born in Jonesboro on November 30, 1941 to the late Leonard and Myrtle Bass. Winford grew up in the Fontaine area and spent most of his life working as a carpenter. He enjoyed working with his hands, watching horse races, and watching baseball; his favorite team was the St. Louis Cardinals. In addition to his parents, Winford is preceded in death by his son, David Keith Bass; granddaughter, Amanda Grace Bass; brothers, Lavelle Bass and Gerome Bass; and sister, Charlotte Lamb.

Winford is survived by his son, Chris Bass (Julie); daughter, Annette Hall (Kevin); sister, Barbara South; grandchildren, Brittany Mankey (Josh), Kelsey Copeland (Brett), Zachary Bass, and Laura Bass; and great grandchildren, Jakob Mankey and Hadley Copeland. Winford also leaves behind the mother of his children, Joan Brooks.

The family will have a casual gathering at Emerson Funeral Home on Friday, March 30, 2018 from 5 to 7 pm. The burial will be private.
