Wilson F. Bill Webster

Former Craighead County Municipal Judge Bill Webster died at 7a.m. February 12, 2014 at St. Bernard’s Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

He was born in Parkin, AR to William Thomas and Clara Earline McClure Webster on April 19, 1943 who preceded him in death.

He grew up in West Memphis, AR and graduated there, before going to Fayetteville where he graduated from the University of Arkansas with a B.S. in Business and graduate work in Accounting and his Juris Doctorate in Law, in 1971. Elected to the bench, he served Craighead County for 16 years as Municipal Judge and practiced law in Jonesboro until 2004. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Jonesboro where he once taught primary Sunday school.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, G. Kaye Neal Morgan Webster and son Heath Chadwick Morgan, Daughter-in-law Ying Ngian Morgan, and granddaughter, Carissa Heather Morgan.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 2014 at First Baptist Church, 701 S. Main Street, Jonesboro, AR with Rev. Chad Morgan, Rev. Bruce Tippit, and Rev. Charles Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Potter Memorial Cemetery in Lepanto, AR with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Allen Hicks, Doug Thomas, Jack McCain Arlen Whitley, Rick Thomas, and Rusty Grigsby. Honorary Pallbearers will include: Woolridge Sunday School Class, Jonesboro Police Department, Craighead County Sheriff’s Department, and Craighead Bar Association.

Visitation is Friday, February 14, 2014 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home, 1629 E. Nettleton Ave, Jonesboro, AR.
