Wilmer Lee “Bill” Shelton, 71, of Jonesboro, passed from this life on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at his home. He was born on December 19, 1954, in Jonesboro to Thomas Shelton and Velma Broadaway Edmonds. Bill was a proud veteran of the US Army having served during Vietnam.

Bill was a skilled welder and took great pride in his work. He had a natural talent for welding and was very good at his craft. Bill was also an avid collector with a wide variety of interests. Over the years, he built many collections spanning numerous genres, always enjoying the search for something interesting or unique to add to them.

Bill was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Shelton.

He is survived by his mother, Velma Edmonds of Tuckerman; brothers, David Shelton of Jonesboro and Kevin Shelton of Houston; sister, Tonia Shelton of Tuckerman; and other family and friends who will remember him fondly.
