Wilma Jean Wallis Lenderman, 82, of Jonesboro passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House surrounded by her loving family.
Wilma was born on February 3, 1933 in Jonesboro, and she lived all her life in the Jonesboro area. After graduating from Jonesboro High School she attended one year of Business School. She worked several jobs throughout her career, but her favorite was being a homemaker. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and was a member of the Valley View Church of Christ. She had several hobbies but her favorite was singing, and she passed that love for singing down to her family.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, T.V. Wallis and John Lenderman; two sons, T.V. Wallis Jr. and Ralph Virgilee Wallis; father Ralph V. Gibson; mother and step father, Geneva and Harold Cummings; one sister, Jane Ellen Turner.
She is survived by five sons, Danny (Karen) Wallis of Jonesboro, Tommy (Sandy) Wallis and Bobby (JoAnna) Wallis both of Paragould, Paul (Kim) Wallis of Jonesboro, and Wes (Carri) Moore of Weatherford, TX; five daughters, Brenda (Anthony) Bryant of Jonesboro, Kay (Cliff) Cupp of Cardwell, MO, Pam (Andy) Floyd of Dallas TX, Angelia Arsalea (Steven) Coy of Perkinston, MS, and Lenia (Kelly) Rowe of Paragould; two sisters, Mar Sue Sherman and Kathy Peyton; twenty five grandchildren, Erica (Ryan) Wallis Simmons, Leslie (Adam) Wallis Baker, Joseph (Amie) Wallis, Jake (Meredith) Wallis, Ben Johns, Sgt. Jeremy (Amy) Johns, Jentri (John) Cupp Duke, Andrea (Jason) Cupp Craig, Tori Cupp, Andrew Floyd, Jessica Wallis, Jacquelyn Wallis Green, Josh Wallis, Brianna (Matt) Wallis Jadwin, Shainna Wallis, Colby Wallis, Levi Wallis, Mattie Coy, Nathan Coy, Ethan Coy, William Rowe, Whitney Rowe, Weslyn Rowe, Wyatt Moore, and Garrett Moore; and twelve great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 10am on Monday at Valley View Church of Christ with David Gibson officiating. Interment will directly follow at Philadelphia Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements. Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons.
Visitation will be from 2-4pm on Sunday at the Valley View Church of Christ.
