Wilma R. Mcginnis

Wilma R. McGinnis, 97, of Jonesboro, died Saturday, July 13, 2019 at the Craighead County Nursing Center. She had lived in Jonesboro since 1985, moving here from Gainesville, Missouri.  Wilma was a very active member of Walnut Street Baptist Church.  She was a volunteer with the Helping Neighbors Food Pantry, and also volunteered for many projects in the Jonesboro area.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert McGinnis, her parents and two grandchildren.

Survivors include her sons, Dwight McGinnis (Elizabeth) of Lakeland, Tennessee; Dewey McGinnis (Dawn) of Bothell, Washington; three grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Curtis Shatley officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.  Visitation will be from 9:00 AM Wednesday morning until service time.  A committal service will be 3:00 Wednesday afternoon at Mammoth Cemetery in Gainesville, Missouri.
