Wilma Hancock

Wilma Loraine Hancock, 90, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Sunday March 24, 2024 at St. Elizabeth’s Place. She was born May 16, 1933 in Corning to the late James and Alma Bergman.

Wilma moved to Jonesboro in 1987 and was a member of Jonesboro Christian Church. In 1973 she graduated from Mississippi State University with a business administration degree.

In addition to her parents, Wilma is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Hancock and a brother, Vernon Bergman.

Survivors include a sister as well several nieces, nephews and other family.

A visitation will be held Saturday March 30, 2024 from 9-10 a.m. in the Emerson Memorial Chapel.

The funeral service will follow the visitation at 10:00 a.m. with Vance McIntosh officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Keith Bergman, Justin Bergman, Paul Hancock, Steven Smith, Michael Nelson, Jammie Miner, David Miner and Alex Smith.
