Willis Richard Ezell, 82, of Jonesboro, died Sunday, July 4, 2010, at the Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.
Born in Harrisburg, Mr. Ezell lived most of his life in Jonesboro. He was a retired Tool and Die Maker in metal manufacturing and was of the Pentecostal belief. Mr. Ezell enjoyed metal and wood working and outdoor activities.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Esther Craine Ezell of the home;
3 daughters and sons-in-law: Lenita and Scot Fox of Jonesboro, and Teresa and Jack Peveler and Christy and Michael Strait, all of Nashville, Tennessee;
1 son and daughter-in-law: Gary and Linda Ezell of Jonesboro;
1 brother, George Ezell of Jonesboro;
1 sister: Maxine Clem of California;
6 grandchildren: Jason and Stephanie Peveler, Candis Brown, Eric Fox, Joshua and Michaela Strait; and
4 great grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be held Monday, July 5, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. at Nettleton Cemetery with Zach Gilliam officiating.
Active pallbearers include Jack and Jason Peveler, Scot and Eric Fox and Michael and Joshua Strait.
Honorary pallbearers include: Roger Bullock, Lynn Strait, Oniel, Johnny and Vondas Smith, George Ezell, Paul Ryan and Mark Tippitt, and all of his nephews.
Visitation will be held Monday from noon until 1:30 at Emerson Funeral Home.
