William “Willard” Whaley, 63, of Lepanto, died Friday morning at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. He was a lifelong resident of Lepanto. He loved to fish and deer hunt. He was a member of the Rivervale Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert E. Lee & Effie Mae Mable Whaley, and several brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Whaley, Lepanto; his daughters, Linda Hall and her husband James, Tyronza; Diana Bates, Lepanto; his brothers, Wayford Whaley, Proctor; Jinks Whaley, Tupelo, MS; Wayne Whaley, Bartlett, TN; his sisters, Susie McDowell, Vicksburg, MI; Tommy Barrett, Burdett.
He is also survived by his four grandchildren, Cody & Colton Hall, Cy Whaley, Lilli-Anne Bates, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 5:00 p.m. at the Rivervale Baptist Church in Riverdale. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. His nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the church Sunday afternoon.
