William “Will” Frankely Acosta, 42, departed this life on Friday, May 22, 2026, at his home. He was born on June 25, 1983, in New York City.
Will was the co-owner of Merrimack Construction alongside his brother, Misael. He was known for his hard work, dedication, and love for his family. He was a faithful member of the Kingdom Hall in Jonesboro of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Will enjoyed life to the fullest and had many passions. He loved playing softball, riding his motorcycle, and watching sports of all kinds, especially the Massachusetts teams, including the Boston Celtics, New England Patriots, and Boston Red Sox. He was also a huge fan of Tom Brady and an avid follower of Ultimate Fighting Championship. One of his favorite memories from his younger years was spending countless hours riding his bicycle.
Will was known for how knowledgeable he was on just about every topic imaginable. He loved history and often shared spirited debates and meaningful conversations with his children. With his younger children, he especially enjoyed talking about science and teaching them new things. He could hold deep conversations about anything and had a way of making people feel heard and understood. His smile could light up any room, and his one-of-a-kind laugh was truly contagious. Above all else, his greatest qualities were his unwavering loyalty to everyone he knew and the incredible dedication he showed as a husband and father.
He was preceded in death by (Grandfather) Antonio Tirado, who loved him so much; and by Deyanira, Judith, and Daniel.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of nine years, Desiree Acosta of the home; his parents, Santiago and Niurka Jerez of Jonesboro; three sons, William “Junie” Acosta, Armani Acosta, and Ezekiel “EZ” Acosta; six daughters, Skyla Acosta, Lexani Acosta, Ava Acosta, Zamiah Acosta, Giselle Acosta, and Kaia’Reign Acosta; five brothers, Kevin and Penny Acosta of Jonesboro, Misael and Elena Jerez of Jonesboro, Frankie Acosta of New York, Ian and Leidi Jerez of Jonesboro, and Jharel Jerez of Little Rock; nephews, Tony Acosta, Rico Acosta, Gabby Jerez, and Liam; one niece, Milena; along with several other family members and friends who will deeply miss him.
Services will be officiated by Elder Jason Wright.
Active pallbearers will be Junie Acosta, Kevin Acosta, Misael Jerez, Ian Jerez, Jharel Jerez, Tony Acosta, Rico Acosta, and Gabby Jerez.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 29, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Emerson Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 30, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m., with burial to follow at Pine Log Cemetery.
