William G. “Butch” Summers, 68, of Lake City, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born December 23, 1957, in Gideon, Missouri, Butch was a devoted Christian and faithful member of Bethabara Baptist Church. He retired as a security officer and was known for his strong work ethic, kind heart, and love for family. Butch enjoyed carpentry, cooking and grilling for his family, NASCAR, and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals and Arkansas Razorbacks.

He is survived by his daughters, Sarah Bishop and Catherine “Katie” Siegel; seven cherished grandchildren; cherished companion and lifelong friend Terry Summers; brother Jerry Keith Summers; sisters Vonna Sue Summers, Ann Parker, and Terry Needham. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Mary McLeskey.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Emerson Memorial Chapel. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Roger Duffel officiating. Interment will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery. Active pallbearers include: Tyler Siegel, Bradley Bishop, Brent Long, Scotty Godfried, Mark Needham, and Demetrius Moore. Honorary pallbearers include: Keith Summers, Matt York, Darren Owens, Lonnie Wright, George Wright, Eden Ruffin, Howard Clark, Billy Bishop, and Tommy Smith.
