William E. Pavlicek, 94 of Jonesboro, passed from this life Friday, March 18, 2016 at St Bernards Medical Center. He was born in St. Louis, MO April 16, 1921 to Joseph and Beatrice Holloway Pavlicek. William spent most of his life in California before moving to Jonesboro in 1996. He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of the American Legion. William was a Christian. He worked as a brick mason and machinist.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Joseph Pavlicek and 4 sisters.
Survivors include daughter, Violet Beyer (Jake) of Jonesboro; son, William Pavlicek, Jr and parner James Lau, and their 2 sons, Barry and Will Lau from California; brother, Louis Pavlicek of Mt. Home; 1 grandchild, Deborah Eberwein (Ron) and 2 great grandchildren, Heather Eberwein and Sarah Eberwein.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 22, 2016 from 12:30-1:30 PM at Emerson Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery at 2:00 PM with Bro. Mike Martin officiating.
Pallbearers include Roger Grim, Emmett Slayton, Bill McKinney, Paul Davidson, Cliff Griffin, and T.R. Bandy.
Honorary Pallbearers include Jerry Rackley, Ron Fielder, Lawrence Billing, Sr., Matt Flad and the Christian Business Mens Luncheon.
