William Paul Lantis

William Paul “Bill” Lantis, 60, of Bay, Arkansas, died Wednesday, December 6, 2006, at NEA Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Born in Stockbridge, Michigan, Bill moved to Jonesboro 12 years ago. He worked 40 years for Dana Corporation and Parker Hannafin as an engineer, and was a Baptist. He served in the Michigan National Guard and was preceded in death by his father, Harold Lantis, and by a granddaughter.

Survivors include:

His Wife: Edna Jeanell Whitehead Lantis of the home;

His Mother: Vivian Lantis of Stockbridge, Michigan;

1 Son and his wife: William and Michelle Lantis of Stockbridge;

1 Step Son and his wife: Eddie and Donna Rouse of Heber Springs

3 Step Daughters and their husbands:
Debbie and Buddy Payton,
Sherry and Rick Holmes, and
Karen and Tony Eldridge;

2 Brothers and sister-in-law: Robert and Sally Lantis, and
Ralph Lantis, all of Stockbridge;

1 Sister and her husband: Barbara and Ed Hughye of Jackson, Michigan;

1 Aunt: Hazel Ullmann of San Diego;

15 Grandchildren, and
5 Great Grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Sunday afternoon, December 9, 2006, at 2:00 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Bro. Larry Ward officiating. Burial will be private.

Visitation will be held 12 noon-2:00 Sunday at Emerson Funeral Home, prior to the service.
