William "Johnny" John Gibson

William “Johnny” Gibson, 49, of Jonesboro passed away Monday, July 29, 2024 at Regional One Health in Memphis. He was born January 11, 1975 in Helena to Debbie Gibson and the late Terry Lynn Gibson. Johnny was a member of Big Creek Missionary Baptist Church. He was a carpenter for Ashley Welch. Johnny enjoyed fishing, frog gigging, dove hunting and mudding. He was the life of the party, outgoing and always making people smile.

In addition to his father, Johnny was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Allen Gibson; paternal grandparents, Pete and Ruby Gibson and maternal grandparents, Rudolph Kurc and Freeda Jenkins.

Survivors include his mother, Debbie Gibson; 2 sons, Hunter (Sabrina) Gibson, Nicholas Gibson; daughter, Sadi (Scott) McKinney; 3 grandchildren: Trevor Allen Gibson, Weston Lynn Gibson, Duke Asher Gibson and 8 step-grandchildren: Skyler Lytle, Remington Lytle, Ayden McKinney, Baillee McKinney, Dakota McKinney, Luke McKinney and Samuel McKinney all of Jonesboro.

Memorial service will be Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Valley View Missionary Baptist Church at 3:00 pm with Bro. Gary Gipson officiating. Burial will be private.

Visitation will be from 2:00-3:00 pm prior to the service.

Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Madison, Wes Gress, Ashley Welch, Phillip Qualls, John Ashley, Nick Gibson, Hunter Gibson, Scott McKinney and Tanner Qualls.
