William Horton, 47, of Jonesboro, died October 21, 2011 at St. Bernards Medical Center. Born in Pulaski, Tennessee, he had lived in Jonesboro for about one year, moving here from Rockford, Illinois. He enjoyed spending time with his children, doing yard work, and walking his dogs, Muffin, Diamond, Carmel, and Coco.
He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Monica Horton, of Jonesboro; his children, William Conner, Rockford, Illinois, Perrice King, Zyria Brown, Moya Horton, and Kylia Horton, all of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Amiyah Conner, Kamari Conner; his mother, Martha Coleman; a sister Darlene Coleman, both of Rockford, Illinois; and a host of other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Coleman.
Funeral services will be Saturday, October 29, 2011 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 301 E. Highland Drive at 10:00 a.m. with Bishop Steven Green officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Active pallbearers will be Bobby Brown, Jeremy Terrell, Bishop Steven Green, Perrice King, Ozzie Brown, Sam Brown, and Anthony Cable.
Visitation will be 9:30 – 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the church.
