William "Frank" Franklin Langford

William Franklin “Frank” Langford of Reddick, Florida passed away Saturday, December 23, 2023 at St Bernard’s Medical Center following an automobile accident in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Frank was born January 13, 1952 in Gardner, Kansas to the late Robert and Ruby Langford.  He lived most of his life in the Kansas City metro area.  He was a graduate of Washington High School in Kansas City, Kansas, class of 1970.  Frank was loved by many as a son, father, husband, brother, grandfather, nephew, cousin and friend.

Frank married Ellen Mistler in 2016. They shared 5 years together with friends and family in Florida, prior to her passing in 2021.

Frank had many hobbies including fishing, but anyone who knew Frank knew of his intense passion for music.  He enjoyed playing the guitar and singing.  Throughout his adult life, he was a member of many bands including Part Time Help, State Line, and The Sundowners, which he enjoyed with his father, Bob.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Langford and his sister, Roberta Whisler.

Survivors include his daughter, Jenni Langford of Olathe, Kansas; son John Guy of Colorado; sisters Susan Langford of Gardner, Kansas and Joy Greenhalgh of Shawnee, Kansas; grandchildren Quynton Barnes, Kameron Barnes and J’Linn Langford; great grandchildren Lennon Jack Barnes, Enzlie Barnes and Salem Barnes, all of Olathe, Kansas.

A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date.
