William Edward Turner

William Edward “Will Ed” Turner, 62 of Henderson, Arkansas, died Sunday, October 21, 2007 at Baxter County Medical Center. He was born in Jonesboro and moved to Henderson five years ago. He served in the US Air Force and was a volunteer fireman at the Henderson Fire Department.

Will Ed retired from General Electric after 31 years of service and was the union secretary of the local #747 for many years. He was a life-time member of the Rock Hill Missionary Baptist Church and was a loving husband, and the best step-dad and dad, anybody could ask for.

He was preceded in death by his parents Rebert and Mary Turner.

He is survived by his wife, Pat Turner of the home; son, Danny Silveira of Atlanta, Georgia; Belinda Armstrong and her husband Chuck of Henderson; Chandra Tate and her husband Cliff Harris of Jonesboro; one sister Rita Faye Wall of Jonesboro; five grandchildren, Duatin, Brendan, Chantel, Evann, and Cameron; one great grandchild, Nickolas.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Thursday, October 25, 2007 with Brother Doug Welborn officiating and Emerson Funeral in charge of arrangements with burial in Rock Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers are John Badsky, Randy Thompson, Jim Stark, Ray Maynard, Greg Spurlock, and Jerry Mariott. Honorary pallbearers are Tom Day, Jim Free and Bob Couch. Visitation will be from 5-8 Wednesday night at Emerson Funeral Home.
