On Monday, May 3, 2021 William Glen Craft, Sr. (Bill) of Jonesboro, Arkansas entered Heaven’s gates.
Bill was born February 12, 1929 in Bono, Arkansas, one of five children to Alfred Leonard and Gussie Craft. His childhood was spent with many friends and family, enjoying the life of a small farm town where he learned the value of hard work. He dedicated 35 years of service working for the Federal Government, Department of the Navy. After retiring from the Federal Service, Bill ventured into the world of business. He particularly enjoyed his role as a general contractor and landlord. He was a lifetime member of the Elks Club, and enjoyed time there with his many friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Ligia Elida Perez Zarzavilla Craft who was the love of his life. They were married for 63 years and lived their life together to the fullest.
He is also preceded in death by his parents, siblings Madeline Craft-McNames, Paul Craft, A.L. Craft Jr., and Johnny Craft, and his grandson, Chase S. Craft.
Bill is survived and will be lovingly missed by his entire family. His children: William G. Craft Jr., Norman R. Craft, Lizabeth E. Craft – Butler, and Madeline Craft. His son-in-law, Dr. Thomas W. Butler.
His grandchildren: Harrison Radcliffe Craft, Olivia E. Craft – King (Chris King), Caitlin F. Craft-Parker(Payton Parker), and Lt. Chandler T. Craft (Laura Craft), and four great-grandchildren, Landon Harrison Craft, Graham Hap Parker, Cecilia Day Craft, and Amelia Elizabeth King.
The family would like to offer special thanks to St. Bernard’s Staffs that made his last days as comfortable as possible.
