William Clayton

William Lee Clayton, 56, of Jonesboro passed from this life Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at his home. He was born March 15, 1965 in Brookland to the late Junior Clayton and Eathel Clayton.

William enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and riding his horses. But his greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, William is preceded in death by a sister, Ann Clayton; a brother, Cletius “Sketter” Meaders and a brother-in-law, Ronnie West.

He is survived by a brother, Don (Elece) Wagner of Jonesboro; sisters, Darvena West, Sherry (Dennis Lowery) Clayton and Becky (Jackie) West all of Jonesboro as well as many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held Monday, March 22, 2021 from 4-5 pm at Emerson Funeral Home.

Funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 5 pm. Burial will be private.
