William “Bo” Bogard, 88, of Jonesboro, died Sunday, January 11, 2026, at the Elvis Presley Trauma Center in Memphis. He had lived in Jonesboro since 2000, moving here from Rockford, Illinois. He was of the Baptist belief. He was born in McClelland, Arkansas on December 11, 1937, to William Elwood Bogard Sr and Oma Bogard. Bo retired from J. L. Clark Manufacturing after 40 years. He loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed deer hunting, being outdoors and feeding his birds. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alvera; sons, Brian and Keith; four brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include his daughter, Donna Johnston and husband, Bryan of Jonesboro, brothers; Franklin Bogard of Kingsburg, California; Bennie Bogard of Springfield, Missouri; Harold Bogard of Morgan Hill, California; Jerry Bogard of Mountain City, Tennessee; sister, Bonnie Butler of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren, Rachel Johnston, Sam Johnston, and Michael Bogard; daughters-in-law, Christine Bogard; and Susan Bogard.
Graveside services will be 1:00 Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Oaklawn Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Sam Johnston, Bryan Johnston, Austin Vance, Robert Dozier, Kevin Henard, Charles Long, and Logan Hibbard will serve as pallbearers. All other services will be private.
