William "Billy" Zachary Crego

William “Billy” Zachary Crego, 42, a lifetime resident of Jonesboro, died Sunday, September 28, 2025, at his home. He was born on April 16, 1983, to Phillip Crego and Janet Crego Brewer, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He graduated from JHS in 2001 and was very active in the Hurricane Marching Band and Drum Line. He attended Arkansas State University and a very vocal supporter of the Red wolves. Billy had a love for his family and friends and was very loyal and sentimental. When time allowed, he loved to fish and be outdoors. He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his mother, Janet Bowers (Jerry) of Jonesboro; brother, Joey Crego; sister, Liz Crego (Pilar) of Fayetteville, Arkansas; his adopted dog and best friend, Remy.

A Celebration of Life and Remembrance for Billy will be announced at a later date.
