Willa Retha Howard

Willa R. Howard, 93, of Jonesboro died Saturday, September 29, 2007 at Skilcare Nursing Center. She was born at Paul’s Switch and had lived in Jonesboro since 1995, moving here from Alexandria, Virginia. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and a volunteer for NEA hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth L. Howard, two brothers, Woodrow Barnes and Samuel F. Barnes Jr.; and three sisters.

She is survived by one sister, Isabel Wilfert of Jonesboro, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial service will be 2:00 Friday, October 5, 2007 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Reverend John Miles officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will be private.
