Wilburn Rolly Johnson

Wilburn Rolly Johnson, 61, of Wynne, passed away on June 12, 2025 at his home. He was born on August 21, 1963 in Greenville, Mississippi to William Wilburn and Helen Charlene Johnson.

Rolly lived in northeast Arkansas since 1975 and called Wynne home for over 15 years. He was a member of Greenfield Baptist Church. Rolly was a 1982 graduate of Weiner High School and had worked for Riceland Foods for the last several years. Prior to working at Riceland, Rolly cared for his elderly parents, making sure their every need was met.

Rolly was known for his playful spirit; he was a prankster and loved practical jokes. His smile and laughter were contagious and his easygoing personality meant he never met a stranger and was loved by everyone. He was incredibly giving and cared deeply for others, especially his family.

He was a jack of all trades and enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. Rolly was artistic and liked to draw and create doodles for his niece and nephews. He loved watching Western movies, especially if they starred John Wayne. Rolly had a larger-than-life personality and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Rolly was preceded in death by his father, William Wilburn Johnson and infant niece, Jessica Laine Johnson.

He is survived by his mother, Charlene Johnson of Jonesboro; brothers, Cory (Melaine) Johnson of Jonesboro and Trampas (April) Johnson of Jonesboro; niece, Lexi Johnson of Cullman, Alabama; nephews, Grant (Anna Leigh) Johnson of Jonesboro, Trevor (Cara) Johnson of Corning, Jacob Brumley of Jonesboro, and Connor Tinsley of Jonesboro; great-nephews, Hayes Austin, Mack William, and his great-nephew on the way, Cross Kenneth; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and a lifetime of friends.

A visitation will be held on Monday, June 16, 2025 from 10:00 until 11:30 a.m. at Emerson Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at Clark Cemetery, near Grubbs, at 12:00 p.m. with Mitch Ford officiating. Don Hubbard, Scott Shelley, Trevor Johnson, Grant Johnson, Jacob Brumley, Kenneth Stevenson, and Farrell Jones will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers include: Rickey Kelley, David O’Brien, Alan Tennyson, and the employees of Riceland Foods in Waldenburg.
