Weldon Penter

Weldon Penter, 67, of Bowman, passed away at St. Bernard’s Medical Center on January 20, 2022. He was born to the late Leonard and Lola Mae Penter in Elaine, AR on August 9, 1954. He served in the U.S. Army. He spent many years as a welder and was retired. His favorite pastime activities included fishing, tinkering, and playing with the grandkids. Aside from playing with the grandkids he also taught them to hunt, fish, and about gun safety.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Penter.

Survivors include five daughters, Donna (Loyd) Jackson, Debra (Randal) Reed, Delores (Ron) Carner, Denise (Marvin) White, and Diane Brewer; two brothers, Milton Penter and Rayburn Penter; two sisters, Nancy Justus and Ruth Owens; fourteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; three nephews and one niece.

A visitation will be held from 3:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Emerson Funeral Home.
