Wayne Ray Smedley, 68, of Jonesboro passed from this life on April 30, 2026. He was born in Roseburg, Oregon on February 14, 1958, to the late Bill and Wanda Smedley. He grew up in Myrtle Creek and carried a love for the outdoors throughout his life. Wayne enjoyed singing karaoke, playing guitar, and spending time doing the things that brought him joy. He will be remembered for his love of music and his free-spirited nature.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Jackie Rightbower.

Wayne is survived by his daughter, Vanessa Martin (Jason) of Jonesboro; brothers, Glenn Roberts of Myrtle Creek and Tony Smedley of Myrtle Creek; sister, Tina Smedley of Oklahoma; and grandchildren, Temperance Martin, Lincoln Martin, and Gage Martin.
