Wayne Udell Pittman

January 16, 1932 — April 26, 2017

Wayne Udell Pittman Sr., 85, of Jonesboro passed from this life Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center surrounded by family. He was born to the late Jim and Mildred Pittman in the Rock Hill Community on January 16, 1932. Wayne resided in Jonesboro most of his life while being a member of the Alicia Baptist Church. Wayne was a man who loved to hunt and trade dogs.

In addition to his parents; Wayne is preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Pittman; three sons: Gerald Pittman, Roger Pittman, and Mark Pittman; and one brother and one sister.

Wayne is survived by his four sons: Boady (Betty) Pittman of Fayetteville, TN, Wayne Jr. “Country” (Sissy) Pittman of Stanford, AR, Lonnie “Roach” Pittman of Petersburg, TN, and Michael “Slick” Owen (Terry Swantak) of Ravenden, AR; one daughter: Bonnie (Harold) Hoots of Jonesboro; five brothers: Douglas (Shirley) Pittman of Ashton, Ill, David Pittman of Jonesboro, Earney (Mary) Pittman of Lake City, Clydie (Betty) Pittman of Jonesboro, and Leon(Deb) Pittman of Violet Hill, AR; four sisters: Mildra Pierce of Batesville, AR, Loretta Wheeler of Brockwell, AR, Connie Brewer of Bono, and Sandra (Jack) Duke of Melbourne, AR, fourteen grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.

A visitation will be from 1 to 2 pm Monday, May 1, 2017 at Emerson Funeral Home.

A funeral service will follow the visitation a 2pm Monday, May 1, 2017 at Emerson Funeral Home with John Travis officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery with active pallbearers being: Gerald Pittman, Kenneth Hoots, Wesley Hoots, Brain Pittman, Shannon Pittman, and Randy Campbell. The nieces and nephews will be honorary pallbearers.
