Waylon Lynn Woodard

March 9, 1961 — November 23, 2023

Waylon Lynn Woodard’s life was made complete on this Earth November 23, 2023, in Jonesboro, at the age of 62. Waylon was born March 9, 1961 in Jonesboro to the late Bobby and Magdalene Woodard. Class of ’79 Nettleton Raiders. Huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Waylon retired after 26 years at Berry Welders Supply/Airgas. He enjoyed his retirement and his furbabies. Waylon was a devoted, loving, and fun dad who loved his son and bestest buddy, Jeremy, with all of his heart. Waylon always made sure his wife and son had what they needed. Waylon enjoyed riding his motorcycle, hunting, and target practicing with his best friend and baby brother Chad. Waylon fought long and hard to stay with family. Go rest high on that mountain your work on Earth is done. Rest in the arms of Jesus until we are all together again.

Left to treasure and cherish his memories are his wife, Lora Woodard; son, Jeremy Woodard; brothers, Rickey Woodard, Danny (Peggy) Woodard, Chad (Debra) Woodard; nieces and nephews, Nickey, Jennifer, Brandon, Leeanna, and Kylee Woodard, and Holland Brady; Godsons, Edward and Jacob Ortiz, and Jaden and Kaden Brady; and his loyal furbabies. Waylon is with his little man now.

No services are planned at this time.

A special thanks to the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House for the care they provided.
