Wanda Lou Ford

March 30, 1944 — December 10, 2022

Wanda Lou Ford, age 78, went to her heavenly home on December 10, 2022 at

NEA Baptist Hospital. She was born in Harrisburg, Arkansas to Virgil and Edna Mae

Hooker on March 30, 1944. She married Bill Ford on January 11, 1962 in Bono,

Arkansas.

Wanda was a loving wife to Bill for 57 years and a wonderful mother to 5 children.

Her children were the light of her life. She was passionate about taking care of her

family and was an excellent cook. The Lord was priority in her life and she instilled

that love in her children and grandchildren. She was a special “Nana” to her

grandchildren and great grandchildren and will forever hold a special place in

their hearts. Anyone that knew Wanda would agree that she was a woman of

great faith and her sweet spirit will forever be remembered.

She is preceded in death by her husband Bill Ford, father Virgil Hooker, mother

Edna Mae Hooker, and sister Bonnie Young.

She is survived by her sons, Greg (Sara) Ford of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Brian

(Kim) Ford of Bono, Arkansas, Scott (Sandy) Ford of Bono, Arkansas, Mark Ford of

Bono, Arkansas and daughter Shelly (Ed) LeBaron of Bono, Arkansas.

Brothers: Jim (Marilyn) Hooker of West Plains, Missouri, Mike (Debbie) Hooker of

Grapevine, Texas.

Sisters: Linda Hall of Searcy, Arkansas, Sheila (Steve) Stewart of Flower Mound,

Texas.

Along with 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and

nephews.

Services for Wanda will be held at Emerson Funeral home on December 15, 2022

with visitation starting at 1 p.m. and the celebration of life immediately following

at 2 p.m. with Pastor Greg Ford & Pastor Terry Watson officiating.  Committal service will be at Trinity Cemetery following the service. The active pallbearers will include Cogan Ford, Cole Ford, Landon Lebaron, Brian Ford, Scott Ford, and Mark Ford. Honorary pallbearers will include Tom Ford, Shawn Ford, Joe Ford, and Elliot Ford.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Trinity Cemetery in Bono,

Arkansas.
