Wanda Nadine Cashion

Wanda Nadine Cashion, 93, of Brookland passed from this life on Thursday, March 3, 2022. She was born in Maynard on July 12, 1928 to the late Frank and Meekee Johnson. Wanda was an active member of Greensboro Road Church of Christ. She was quite the musician. Wanda could play guitar, play the fiddle and loved to sing. She enjoyed writing poetry, quilting, and being involved in programs at her church. In addition to her parents, Wanda is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Julian Cashion; three brothers and one sister.

Wanda is survived by her three daughters, Judy Moore of Jonesboro, Deana Sawdey of Guntersville, Alabama, and Phyllis Cashion (Wally Davis) of Little Rock; and grandchildren, Lori Nelson, Spencer Moore, Jon Moore, Michelle Littlemeyer, Zane Moore, and Mary Catherine Ballew. She also leaves behind ten great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.

The visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Monday at Emerson Funeral Home.

The service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 7, 2022 at Emerson Funeral Home with Terry Joe Kee officiating. Burial will follow at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery at Birdeye. The pallbearers will be Wally Davis, Jon Moore, Zane Moore, Ethan Moore, Evan Moore, and Brian Ballew. The honorary pallbearers will be Spencer Moore, Ernie Nelson, Gatlin Woodman, Garrett Woodman, and Jeremy Buck.
