Walter Neal Ray, 59, of Jonesboro, died Saturday, June 20, 2026, at St. Bernards Medical Center. He had lived in Jonesboro for over 20 years and was a member and Deacon for the Church of God. He was born on August 18, 1966, in Pocahontas, Arkansas to Thomas and Dorothy Ray. Even though he was not a hunter, he consistently scored as a perfect expert marksman, much to the disappointment of his military brethren. This husband, father, and granddad served his family as an excellent cook, baker, cleaner and working in his yard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Lonnie Ray and his father-in-law, Lee Hearn.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Belinda Ray, of the home; daughters, Abbygale Carmon and husband John; Bailee Ray; their miracle daughter, Haven Ray and fiancé Dylan Riney; all of Jonesboro; brothers, Tim Ray of Hoxie, Arkansas; Tommy Ray; Jeff Ray both of Pocahontas; sisters, Michelle Jarrett of Jonesboro; Kim Rowe of Maynard, Arkansas; grandchildren, Cannden, Everlee, Brighton, Luna and Brewer; and a host of family and friends.
