Walter A. Busby

Walter A. Busby, 73, of Jonesboro passed away Sunday, March 26, 2017 at his home. He was born June 2, 1943 in Manila to the late Bill Busby and Mamie Sorrows. Walter was of the Baptist belief. He was a hard worker and a former member of the U.S. Marine Corps. Walter was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. He enjoyed recycling scrap metal and being on 95.9 the Wolf every morning with Michael Steele.

In addition to his parents, Walter was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Busby; sister, Ann Harper and granddaughter Andrea Joyce Jacks.
Survivors include his 3 sons: Donnie (Susan) Busby, Walter D. (Paula) Busby all of Jonesboro, Duane (Amber) Busby of Brookland; 2 daughters, Teri Busby, Tina (Mark) Ballard all of Jonesboro;

12 grandchildren: Brandi (Jeremiah) Sanders, Donald II (Brittney) Busby, Daniel (Tiffany) Busby, Tera Jacks, Holly Busby, Michael Lafarlett, Jody Lafarlett, Jayden Ballard, Faith Busby, Callie Busby, Payton Busby, Samuel Busby;

13 great grandchildren: Riley Lumpkin, Kylar Lumpkin, Rowan Sanders, Donald Busby III, Flynn Busby, Thea Davis, Zariyah Busby, Jamiyah Watkins, Jude Lafarlett, Conner Lafarlett, Mason Busby, Dash Busby and Johnathan Watkins.

Graveside service will be Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 2:00 pm in Nettleton Cemetery with Michael Steele officiating.
