Vivian Catherine Palmer

Vivian Palmer, 84, of Jonesboro, died Tuesday, October 21, 2008, at her home. She was born in Jonesboro and had lived in Bay, until she married in 1948. She and her husband moved to West Memphis for thirty years, before returning to Jonesboro. She was a homemaker who loved to cook, shop and sew and of the Methodist belief. She loved to do anything for her kids and grandkids.

She is survived by two daughters, Beverly Wofford, Mattoon, Illinois; and Tami Shidler, Marion, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Holly Winchester; Blake McNabb; Devin Shidler; and two great grandchildren, Dylan Villarini and Chloe Winchester. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Ralph Palmer, one son, Barry Palmer; her parents, Edgar and Lea Dodson; one sister, Lillian Shanks.

Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, October 23, 2008, at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. There will be no visitation.
