Vivian Lavay Calhoun

Vivian Lavay Calhoun, 91, of Bay, Arkansas passed away on March 9, 2025 after a long and fulfilling life.

In life, Vivian served as a wife to Donald Calhoun for 61 years, a mother of three children, served as a Union Steward for Lanes and Walgreen’s stores in Flint, Michigan and worked in Banking in both Michigan and Arkansas. She also served First Baptist of Bay Church as a women’s Sunday School teacher and volunteered to set up and run Bay’s library.

Vivian is survived by children Sharen Long and husband Roy Long, Judy Snyder and husband Paul Snyder, Gary Calhoun and wife Kimberly Calhoun, eight grandkids, ten great grandkids and two great-great grandkids.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro, Arkansas. The funeral will be held at 2:00 PM on March 15th, 2025 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with a visitation prior to the service from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery in Jonesboro.
