Vittoria C. Ishmael, 97, of Jonesboro, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born on March 2, 1928, in Matera, Italy, to the late Giovanni and Bruna Cimino.
Vittoria was a longtime member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. A dedicated homemaker and talented seamstress, she spent much of her life creating with her hands—crocheting, knitting, quilting, and gardening. She also loved to cook and took great joy in preparing meals for those she loved. Above all, Vittoria cherished time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Ivo Ishmael; one brother; and two sisters.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Richard Ishmael of the home; one son, James (Jennifer) Ishmael of Jonesboro; four daughters: Roxanna (David) Loggins of Jonesboro, Dianna (Mike) Bloom of New River, Arizona, Louise Ishmael of Jonesboro, and Anna (Tom) Kincade of Jonesboro. She also leaves behind ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Rosary will be held Tuesday, June 17, 2025, from 5:00-5:30 p.m. with the visitation from 5:30 -7:00 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
A funeral Mass will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Father Cody Eveld officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
