Virginia Ridge, 85 of Lake City, Arkansas died Sunday, May 7, 2006 at St. Bernards Medical Center. She was lived her entire life in Lake City area and taught school at Lake City for over 17 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, C. W. Ridge, Sr. and Ella Ridge; four brothers, Bonnie Ridge, Walter Ridge, C. W. Ridge, Jr., and Herman Ridge. She was a Christian and a member of the Lake City United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, J. R. (Bob) Ridge and Burdeen Ridge, Lake City, Arkansas and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 10, 2006 at Lake City United Methodist Church with Rev. Bruce Higgins officiating with burial to follow at Lake City Cemetery and Emerson Funeral Home of Lake City in charge of arrangements. Soloist will be Mrs. Dana Hewitt and accompanist will be the great niece, Autumn Singleton. Pallbearers are great nephews, Jerry Wayne Milligan, Jr., Jonathan Ridge Milligan, Justin Walker Milligan, Mitchell Don Caldwell II, Carl Blaine Ladd, Joshua Mark Ridge, John Houston Ridge and Zachary Bowman Ridge.
Honorary pallbearers are, Max South, Stanley Bowman, Jim Bowman, Paul Taylor, Sonny Blankenship, Oliver Armstrong, J. N. Davis, James Stewart, A.B. Scott, Barney Carpenter, Freddie Payne, Larry Nall, Greg Garner, Jerry Crigler, and Len B. Nall.
