Virginia Mccorkle Abbott

Virginia McCorkle Abbott, 83, of Jonesboro passed away Sunday, January 5, 2020 at her home. She was born June 19, 1936 in Harrisburg to the late James Levi Coons and Ruth Mathis Easley. Virginia was of the Church of Christ belief. She enjoyed painting and animals, mostly her dogs. Virginia also loved her family and the children she fostered.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sons, David Wayne McCorkle, Lanny McCorkle and 2 brothers.

Survivors include her son, James McCorkle; 3 daughters, Linda Wilson, Julie Mobley, Lisa Riley; 3 grandchildren, Nathan Brent White, Daniel James Hufstedler, James Edward McCorkle III; great grandchild, Lainey Rianne White and 9 brothers and sisters.
