Virginia “Jenny” Lingenfelter, 72, a life-long resident of Jonesboro, died Sunday, September 29, 2024, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born at Cain Island on September 28, 1952, to Everett and Jewel “Mohe” Davis. She was of the Christian belief. Jenny loved cooking for her family and spending time with her family and friends. She excelled at card games and loved playing Canasta, Spades, and Yahtzee. Road trips with her sisters were always a fun and exciting time. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ruby Davis, Annie Wisham; brothers, Shelby Davis and Terry Davis; and several close nieces and nephews.
Survivors include her son, Coty Lingenfelter and wife, Hannah; daughter, Missi Hudson and husband, David all of Jonesboro; brothers, Cleo Davis (Betty) of Viola; Doug Davis (Judy) Salem; Sisters, Patsy Riley (Donald) of Lake City; Rosetta McCann (Jack) of Jonesboro; Theresa Pace (Terry) of Little Rock; grandchildren, Cortney, Melodie, Wrenleigh; great grandchildren Cooper and Hudson.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Vernon DuBar officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery with Nephews and Landon LeBaron serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Tuesday night, October 1, 2024, from 5:00 until 7:00 at Emerson Memorial Chapel.
