Virginia Caples, 83, of Bono, died Thursday, April 20, 2017 at the Craighead County Nursing Center. She lived most of her life in Bono. Virginia was born on July 17, 1933 to W.W. and Effie Ramsey Connor in Portia. She was a member of the Poplar Valley Free Will Baptist Church. She loved to dance and was a member of the Saturday Night Leisure Dance Club. Her time was best spent being with her family, especially her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. According to family members, she was the best cook, in the world. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Caples, her parents, two brothers and five sisters.
Survivors include sons, Kerry Caples (Patty) of Bono; Kelly Caples of Searcy; daughters, Paula Hitt (Tom) of Jonesboro; Debbie Moore of Brookland; Kim Dresbach (Bill) of Pocahontas; 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; two nieces she loved like daughters, Mary Lou Gandy and Jan Biggers; and a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Roger Brumley and Tony Sauser officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will be at Trinity Cemetery with Aaron Caples, Eric Moore, Cory Moore, Alex Dresbach, Matt Hobbs, Scott Pruett, Matt Johnson and Connor Caples serving as pallbearers.
