Mr. Virgil Thomas Lammers, Jr., age 74, of New Johnsonville, TN passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at his home with family by his side. He was born on May 17, 1952, in Hot Springs, Arkansas to Virgil and Dorothy Lammers.
After graduating from high school, Virgil began his career as a painter and proudly worked as a professional interior and exterior painter for both commercial and residential properties.
Virgil and his beloved wife, Mary, attended church at Pisgah Methodist Church. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and served as Master Mason of Masonic Lodge #273 for two years. He was also a Shriner and enjoyed visiting and fellowship with members of various Masonic lodges throughout Tennessee, Florida, and Arkansas.
Virgil had a deep love for the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time in nature, but fishing in Florida held a special place in his heart. Those who knew him will remember his genuine love for the outdoors and the many memories he made along the way.
Above all else, Virgil cherished his family. His granddaughters held a particularly special place in his heart, and he absolutely adored them. The love and joy they brought into his life were among his greatest treasures.
