Virgie Crabtree

Virgie Crabtree, 92, of Jonesboro, died Monday, September 3, 2007 at her home. She was born in Cave City, Arkansas and moved to Jonesboro in 1948. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Crabtree and one son, Charles Crabtree.

Survivors for Mrs. Crabtree include her son, Herbert Crabtree and his wife Pat; four grandchildren, Mark Crabtree and his wife Tammy of Springfield, Missouri; Dana Showalter and her husband Donald of Jonesboro; Karen Okeefe and her husband Bill of Deluth, Minnesota; and Keith Crabtree of Chicago, Illinois and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Thursday, September 6, 2007 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Dr. Stan Ballard officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers are Mark Crabtree, Ryan Crabtree, Donald Showalter, Sam Morgan, Ben Blankenship and Curt Meskimon with burial to be at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday night at Emerson Funeral Home from 5 – 7.
