Virgie Lee Clayton, 67, Jonesboro passes away on Saturday at St. Bernards Medical Center.
Virgie was born on October 20, 1946 in Monette to the late Shorty and Elizabeth Clayton. She had lived in the Jonesboro most all her life, and was of the Baptist. She was always the life of the party and enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved to fish and take care of her dog, Rebel. Her genuine and fun loving personality will be missed but never forgotten.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sons, Louie and Lesley Knuckles; two sisters, Linda Thomas and Donna Pitts; two brothers, Glen Wallace and Jerry Clayton.
She is survived by her two daughters, Loria (Robert) Koster and Sharon Sharp and her boyfriend Mark Simmons all of Jonesboro; ex-husband, Charles Knuckles of Bono; two sisters, Melvie Taylor of Monette and Maryann Baugh of Jonesboro; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Graveside service will be at 3:30pm Tuesday in Pine Log Cemetery with Major Eugene Gesner officiating Emerson Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 1-3 at Emerson Funeral Home.
