Mrs. Vickie Diane Kinder Henderson of Jonesboro, Arkansas departed this life on Saturday March14th, 2015 at the age of 59. She was born June 25th, 1955 in Paragould, Arkansas as the daughter of Ray and Marilyn Kinder.
Vickie graduated in 1973 from Swifton High School. She became the wife of Steve Henderson in 1973. Mrs. Henderson was retired from the Nettleton School District where she worked as a Nutritional Manager.
Besides being a dedicated wife, Vickie was a devoted mother and grandmother.
She enjoyed watching her grandchildren and being a huge part of their daily activities. She was well known as a warm, friendly, caring, and giving person that never met a stranger.
Vickie was preceded in death by her father Ray Kinder, two paternal grandparents; E.B and Eula Jane Kinder of Swifton, and maternal grandparents Willie and Olene Baker of Clover Bend. She was also surrounded with a host of loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, as well as extended family, and friends.
Vickie is survived by her husband, Steve Henderson of the home, two sons, Chad Henderson and his wife Casey and their daughter Kylee, Shaun Henderson and his children MaKala, Ashlee, SJ, and Hudson. She also leaves behind a brother, Tony Kinder, of Swifton and his wife Jackie, and two sisters; Cindy Duncan and her husband Deral of Swifton and Misty Cates and her husband Donald of Pea Ridge. She is also survived by five sister-in-laws: Shirley Daggett, JoAnn Cook, Loce Jones, Brenda Phillips, and Deloris Puckett.
A Graveside service will be held on Tuesday March 17, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. in the Swifton Cemetery in Swifton with John Brinkley officiating with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.
Visitation will be from 5-7:00 P.M. on Monday March 16, 2015 at Emerson Funeral Home.
