Vestal Fae Harcrow, 82, of Jonesboro passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Jonesboro Healthcare and Rehab. She and her twin sister were born July 10, 1934 to the late Roy and Henrietta Powers Pulley in Bowman. Vestal worked for Eric Rogers Insurance Co. in her early years. Later in life she was the manager for Claire’s Boutique. Vestal was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church and a P.T.A. life member.
Vestal had been retired for many years, but had worked extensively with the NEA Mental Health Association (NAMHA). She also had been presented the highest award the association presents to an individual – State Volunteer of the Year Award. Vestal served as president of the membership drive for the state and Craighead County Associations. She was also an active member of the Elks Ladies of Lodge #498, also serving as president of that association.
In addition to her parents Vestal was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Harcrow; son, Gary Peeler; twin sister, Lestal Bruntzel; sister, Ruth Edwards and step-son, Clyde N. Harcrow Jr.
Survivors include her brother, Dale (Mary) Pulley; nieces: Pam (Danny) Goad, Ashley Goad, Debbie (Doug) Cousins, Linda (Louie) Stadler, Karen Wakefield; nephew, Pat (Rebecca) Edwards; daughter-in-law, Debi Peeler; grandsons, Jared (Renee) Peeler, Jeremy (Chelsea) Peeler, 2 great grandchildren and 2 step-daughters, Elizabeth Gordon and Rebecca Taylor.
Funeral service will be Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 10:00 am in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Robbie McMasters officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 am prior to the service.
